Plagiarism Policy & Publication Ethics

Upholding Research Integrity at IIRD Global

AAt IIRD Global, we are deeply committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. All submissions, whether for conferences or journals, must strictly adhere to our plagiarism and ethical guidelines.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is the unethical practice of using another person’s work, ideas, or words without proper acknowledgment. IIRD Global defines plagiarism as:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from another source without citation
  • Reproducing content from previous works by the same author (self-plagiarism)
  • Submitting work that is not originally authored by the listed contributors
  • Using AI-generated content without proper human review or attribution (if applicable)

Acceptable Similarity Index:

All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). A similarity score above 20% (excluding references) may result in rejection or mandatory revision.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting papers to IIRD conferences or journals are expected to:

  • Submit original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere
  • Properly cite all sources and references used
  • Acknowledge all co-authors and contributors accurately
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest or funding sources
  • Follow ethical research practices, especially in case of human/animal studies

Publication Ethics

IIRD Global follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for all editorial and review practices. This includes:

  • Double-blind peer review to ensure unbiased assessment
  • Rejection of submissions with confirmed plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication
  • Immediate withdrawal of papers upon detection of ethical violations
  • No tolerance for authorship disputes or falsified credentials

Consequences of Ethical Misconduct

  • Rejected submission or retraction of published papers
  • Notification sent to affiliated institutions
  • Permanent blacklisting from future IIRD events or publications
  • Denial of participation or certification
